The Year Three students have displayed their knowledge of tempo, singing to a Moroccan Folk Song, 'A Ram Sam Sam' which is a fun song which has actions and increases in tempo! It started with 'Largo' tempo and finished with an upbeat 'Presto' speed!

The Year Four students have studied the Classical Composers, Ludwig van Beethoven 1770 to 1827. They played some of his classical musical pieces on keyboards and tuned percussion.

The Year Five students have learnt about playing melodically and harmonically. Students displayed knowledge of playing the major chords for played 'The Blues' which is a musical form that originated amongst African-Americans in the deep South of the United States around the 1860s.

The Year Six students have learnt about dotted notes and how the duration of the note lengthens (adding on half of the note's value).

Students played is a traditional African-American spiritual that first appeared in recorded form in 1923 which is has been adapted as the St. Kilda's Football team's theme song. This is the rhythm pattern of notes for the song. The Year 6 students played the melody then the chords on keyboards and tuned percussion.
