What a fantastic week of learning and celebration in Foundation!
Our biggest highlight was celebrating 100 Days of Learning on Friday.
The excitement was contagious as students arrived in their creative costumes and took part in a range of fun activities throughout the day. We are so pleased by how much the children have grown and learned over their first 100 days at school. A huge thank you to all our families for your support and the amazing outfits that helped make the day so special.
In Literacy, students have been learning about digraphs, when two letters work together to make one sound. We have explored ck, ll, ss, ff, and sh, and students have been confidently using these sounds in their reading and writing. Our tricky word collection continues to grow, with students practising Sets 1–6 in their reading diaries.
In Mathematics, we have begun exploring measurement using words such as taller, shorter, and longer as we compare objects around the classroom.
A reminder that our Grandparents’ Liturgy will be held on next Wednesday 12 August. If you have not yet sent in a photo of your child with their grandparents, please forward it to your classroom teacher.
