Safe On Socials 

 Permission to publish in the era of AI by Kirra Pendergast 

This term students in Grades 3 and 4 have been learning about creating safe usernames and avatars which prevent us from accidently sharing personal information in online and gaming applications.  

In Grades 5 and 6 we have been learning about the implications of posting pictures online and what happens when you want to get the image back. It has been a valuable hands-on lesson about the ownership of images online. This task also looked at the consequences of sharing others posts and using screenshots to share images. It was a great talking point, and meaningful discussions were had across both Grade 5 and Grade 6.
