Grade 3 News

Mathematics- students have been exploring mathematics in their environment. Using two straight edges to find right angles in the world around them. Students then discussed how this is used in jobs such as building/carpentry , printmaking and engineering.  

  Iron Man- The Iron Man has arose from the pit after many months of being buried. Hogarth was feeling guilty over the treatment of the Iron Man from the village people, so he hatched a plan that keep everyone happy. Students have been using their writing skills to expand simple sentences to include conjunctions and create expanded sentences from sentence kernels. This text raises many discussion about the treatment of others, it has linked in nicely to our religion unit of Known, Called and Loved by Jesus.
