SSV COBURG DISTRICT BASKETBALL FINAL
Term 1 saw our Grades 5/6 students proudly represent St Fidelis Primary School in the SSV Coburg District Summer Sport Competition, competing across basketball, softball and bat tennis.
Our St Fidelis Girls Basketball Team enjoyed a fantastic season, finishing as premiers in the smaller schools division. Their impressive performances earned them the opportunity to take on Coburg West Primary School, premiers of the larger schools division, in the Coburg District Final on Friday 4 September at Coburg West Primary School.
The girls showed great determination and teamwork throughout the final, competing strongly against a talented Coburg West team. Despite their best efforts, Coburg West finished the game with a 19–9 victory.
This match also determined the Coburg District representative team that will compete at the SSV Inner North/Merri-Bek Division Basketball Championships in Term 4, with Coburg West earning the opportunity to progress.
While the girls were disappointed not to come away with the win, they can be extremely proud of their achievement. Winning the smaller schools premiership and reaching the district final is a fantastic accomplishment. Their teamwork, perseverance and determination was outstanding, and they represented St Fidelis with great pride and sportsmanship.
Well done, girls! You should be very proud of your efforts!
SSV INNER NORTH/MERRI-BEK DIVISION ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
We are incredibly proud to congratulate six talented St Fidelis students who produced outstanding performances at the recent SSV Coburg District Athletics Championships. By finishing 1st or 2nd in their events, they have earned the exciting opportunity to compete at the next level and represent the Coburg District at the Inner North/Merri-Bek Division Championships.

Qualifying for a Division Championship is a fantastic achievement and we are thrilled to see them take the next step in their athletics journey and compete against some of the region’s best young athletes.
The SSV Inner North/Merri-Bek Division Championships will be held on Friday 11 September.
