Year 2 News

Welcome back to another exciting week in Grade 2!
A huge thank you to all the families who joined us on Friday for our Father’s Day celebrations. We hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating the important Dads, Granddads and special people in your lives.
As writers, we have been very busy typing up our completed information reports on Port Jackson Sharks, Stingrays, Moon Jellies, Mudskippers, Leopard Sharks and Lionfish. We have been learning how to use Google Docs to type, edit and format our work and we can’t wait to show you when we’re done!
As inquirers, we received a mysterious parcel on Friday. Our brains have been working over-time to figure out what could be inside. All we know so far is that it shouldn’t be shaken or tapped, it needs air and it has something to do with salt. We will report back soon!
This week, we will be learning about…
- Numeracy: Fractions
- Literacy: Information reports
- Spelling: The graph /i/ making the sound "i" as in tin
- Inquiry: Aquatic Animals
- Religion: Discipleship through the natural world.
- TRP: Emotional Literacy
Reminders for this week:
- Thursday - wear pyjamas for Safer Internet Day
Have a wonderful week!
