Vicki Wilson Netball Championship –

Written by Chloe C (Year 11)

This term, The Gap State High School attended the Vikki Wilson Netball Championships at Downey Park. Congratulations to our five teams, with this year being the first time we have had two boys’ teams competing!  Our players displayed impressive commitment and growth throughout our weekly trainings and a resilient and enthusiastic attitude throughout our competition day.

Our players proudly represented The Gap, displaying our school values of being kind, thinking big, stepping up, and paying it forward. Miss Martyn shared how proud she was with our behaviour and support of each other on the day. Well done to our Senior A Boys Team for placing third.

A huge thank you to our committed coaches Miss Martyn, Ms Berry, Jodie Garrity, Ms Bateman, and Ms Jansen, who showed up every week with a positive attitude to prepare our teams for competition. Likewise, a big thank you to Mr Moran and our parents/carers for their behind-the-scenes organisation.

Lastly, thank you to our players for their incredible efforts during the day. We can’t wait to start up training again and prepare for an even stronger season next year.
