The Gap State High School is incredibly proud to congratulate Science Teacher, Phil Driver, on achieving certification as a Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT).

This prestigious national certification recognises experienced teachers who demonstrate exceptional classroom practice, improve student outcomes, and positively influence the professional growth of their colleagues. 

Achieving HAT certification involves a rigorous assessment process, including a comprehensive portfolio of evidence, classroom observations, and validation by trained assessors against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

Since joining the Department of Education in 2008, Phil has consistently demonstrated a passion for teaching and learning. He is highly respected by both staff and students and has an exceptional ability to engage learners of all abilities, inspiring curiosity and success in the classroom every day.

This achievement is a testament to Phil’s dedication, expertise and commitment to excellence in education.
