BACKGROUND:
We can offer parents a high-quality laptop for their children as part of our 2027 CYOD (Choose Your Own Device) program. With the growing demand for memory due to advancements in AI, computer prices are rising globally, with increases predicted at 10% per month. This has been confirmed by all Education suppliers. This trend is expected to continue in the short to medium term, impacting both retail and school-provided devices.
To ensure affordability and availability, our school partnered with ASUS in late March to secure 300 laptops of our current midrange model at the current 2026 CYOD price. By locking in the March price, we can offer these devices to parents for $1658 or $1623 depending on the camera specification*. This is significantly lower than the projected October 2026 price of $2300. .
