Throughout the visit, students learnt about mosque etiquette and how the mosque connects to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They also explored areas not normally seen during a regular visit, including the classrooms and Janaza facilities.

The excursion gave students the opportunity to connect what they learn in Islamic Studies with the practical role a mosque plays within the Muslim community.
