Primary: World Cup Day

Recently, Islamic College of Melbourne is celebrating World Cup Day, bringing students together through a shared love of the world’s game ahead of this weekend’s FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain.

Replacing our traditional Footy Day for this year, students across both the Primary and Secondary Schools have proudly arrived wearing football jerseys representing nations and clubs from around the world. Every corner of the College has been filled with colour, with teams from across the globe on display.

Throughout the week, students have also taken part in a range of football-themed workshops and activities, celebrating the excitement and international spirit that 

the FIFA World Cup inspires.

The week has provided students with an engaging opportunity to learn more about the countries, cultures and global significance connected to the tournament. For the many students who play and follow football, it has also been an especially enjoyable 

celebration of the sport they love.
