Y11: Participation in Islamic Wellbeing Incursions

As part of Pastoral Care, Year 11 students simultaneously participated in Islamic wellbeing incursions that aimed to develop their social and emotional learning as part of their journeys to become holistic individuals who prioritise their Deen in their day-to-day actions.

The girls participated in the Emotional Intelligence and Resilience workshop, facilitated by the Centre for Muslim Wellbeing. The session focused on understanding resilience as a three-step process - unhooking, continuing the story, and breathing - whilst

incorporating Islamic teaching.

The boys participated in the Inappropriate Online Content workshop, facilitated by Sheikh Abdulkadir Abdullahi. The session explored what young people encounter online, how the Deen protects us before harm begins, and where to turn for support - approached with mercy and accountability rather than shame.

Both sessions gave students practical tools grounded in their faith - and a reminder that seeking help is a strength, not a weakness.
