2026 NAPLAN Results

Islamic College of Melbourne has achieved outstanding results in the 2026 NAPLAN assessments, with our students performing above the Victorian state average across all 20 assessed year-level and domain comparisons.
Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 all achieved results above the state average in Reading, Writing, Spelling, Numeracy and Grammar & Punctuation. In many areas, the margins were substantial. Year 7 Grammar & Punctuation was 57 points above the state average, Year 3 Spelling was 54 points above, and Year 9 Grammar & Punctuation was 53 points above.
The strength of our literacy results is particularly significant. English is a central part of learning at ICOM, with a strong emphasis on developing confident readers and writers across every stage of schooling.
These results reflect that consistent focus and the high expectations our teachers
set for students in the classroom.
More broadly, these results reflect the work of our students and teachers, supported by families who continue to play an important role in their children’s education.
Alhamdulillah, this is an achievement our College community should be incredibly proud of.
