Works have continued over the weekend to prepare for the removal of the old Administration Building. The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) remains on schedule to demolish the building over the holidays. Once the area has been cleared, we are excited to begin planning for a new playground for our students to enjoy. The cottage building will also be removed during this period as part of the redevelopment works.

Our whole school production, Pirates of the Curry Bean, will be held this Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June at The Round, Nunawading, commencing at 7.00pm each evening.
Students with surnames A–L will perform on Monday night, while students with surnames M–Z will perform on Tuesday night. Students with main roles, understudy roles, and those involved in the tech/backstage crew will attend both performances.
Please ensure students are dropped off at the front of the theatre at their allocated times:
Foundation – 6.40 pm
Please see below drop off points for the evening.

We look forward to two fantastic nights showcasing the talents of our students.

We will be providing Semester 1 student achievement reports this year as usual. Reports will be distributed on Thursday 25 June at 4.00pm. The reports will continue to provide important information about student learning achievement; however, full descriptive comments may not be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union. We will, of course, be pleased to discuss your child’s progress at our three-way conferences scheduled for Term 3. As always you are also welcome to contact your child’s teacher at any time to arrange a meeting.

Last week, our school had the privilege of presenting at the Victorian State Principals’ Conference, attended by more than 3,000 principals and assistant principals from across the state. The presentation highlighted the outstanding work our school has undertaken in recognising and catering for our high-ability students. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the innovative practices and programs being implemented at HEPS. A big congratulations to Anita Elliott, Kim Holmes and Jason Mulder on delivering such an engaging and professional presentation.
A reminder that students should not be at school before 8.45 am. There has been an increase in the number of students arriving without parents before this time, meaning that they are unsupervised. We kindly remind families that unaccompanied students should not be at school before 8.45am and if you need care prior to this time, TeamKids is available.
