Level 2 News
Our Level 2 students have been working incredibly hard and have been very busy learning over the past two weeks. We are proud of their enthusiasm, perseverance, and commitment to their learning.
Literacy
In Literacy, our focus has been on understanding and applying the compare-and-contrast and cause-and-effect text structures. Students have explored these concepts through both reading and writing activities, identifying how authors use these structures and incorporating them into their own written work.
Mathematics
In Mathematics, we have been focusing on subtraction. Students are developing a range of strategies to solve subtraction problems, using both concrete materials and mental computation strategies. It has been wonderful to see students building confidence as they explain and apply different approaches to their learning.
Inquiry
Our Inquiry learning has centred around fairness, values, and respectful relationships. Students have been exploring the understandings that:
When people disagree about right or wrong, reflecting on values, rights, and consequences can help guide fair solutions.
People may have different opinions and feelings, and respecting these differences helps maintain fairness within our communities.
These discussions have encouraged thoughtful reflection and meaningful conversations among students.
Production Rehearsal
Excitement is building as we prepare for our school production! Students have been working hard during rehearsals at school and are looking forward to rehearsing at the venue on Monday before the performances.
A reminder that students need to bring their costumes to school on Friday. They will be required to wear their costumes on Monday morning, ready for the venue rehearsal.
