Level 3

Literacy
In Literacy, we have been focusing on narrative writing and exploring how authors change their voice to create different tones and styles in their writing. This week, we have dived deeper into developing stronger ideas for our spooky stories. Students have been building rich vocabulary, brainstorming creative ideas, and collaborating with their peers to make their writing more engaging and descriptive.
Numeracy
In Numeracy, we have been learning about fractions. Students have been comparing and ordering fractions, simplifying fractions, and developing their understanding of fractions on collections and whole objects. We have been using a range of hands-on activities and problem-solving tasks to strengthen our fraction knowledge.
Inquiry
We had the best time at Ringwood Lake this week as part of our Inquiry learning. Students explored this important community space while investigating the resources, responsibilities, and rights people have within a community. We enjoyed walking around the lake, playing on the playground, working as community detectives, and completing a fun scavenger hunt. A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parent volunteers who joined us and helped make the day such a success!
