Cross Country Results

Lincoln breaks the drought

What a fantastic result for Lincoln who have broken their Interhouse carnival drought, taking out the 2025 Interhouse Cross Country shield, a feat they had not achieved since our Year 12s were in Year 7 in 2020. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

House Captain and Prefect, Sophia Warren and Orla Neri, led Lincoln encouraging maximum participation and are congratulated on their success at Poolgarla Parkland, Kings Park, last Tuesday, 6 May.

Congratulations to the following students on their outstanding individual performances and we wish our 2025 ACC Cross Country Team every success at Alderbury Reserve on 5 June.

 

Training takes place at Run Club on Tuesday morning 7am and Wednesday Fitness Club 3.345pm.  Competitors are encouraged to make one of these sessions. ACC runners, orders are closing soon for ACC Team tops.

SOCCER AND NETBALL NEWS 

We are increasing our sporting opportunities in the PE Department with the focus of growing our sporting teams. This is our inaugural year to compete in the Senior ACC Championship Netball and Soccer Carnivals. St George’s have entered a Girls and a Boys Netball team and will compete at the Gold Netball Centre & Perth Netball Association on 23 May. We have a Boys Soccer Team competing at a one day carnival on the 22 May at Mercy College.

 

The busy PE calendar will also see our hockey players compete at Perth Hockey Stadium in the ACC Championship Hockey Carnivals where the boys will play on the 16th of June and the girls the next day, 17 June.

 

Then to top off Term Two we have our Winter sports NWAS Carnivals for Year 9 on the 24 June, and Year 7&8 on 25 June. Students can nominate to play the following sports by checking their Direct Messages and filling out the Forms link to express their interest in playing in a team:

  • Girls Soccer
  • Boys Soccer
  • Girls Netball
  • Mixed Netball
  • Touch Rugby
  • Badminton

ATHLETICS

Year 10s have started their Athletics Program at UWA Sportspark in preparation for the Interhouse Athletics Carnival, which is in Week 2 of Term Three (30 July) at the State Athletics Track, Floreat. Years 7, 8 and 9 will be doing athletics during Weeks 6 to 9.
