Interhouse Performing Arts Festival, Perth Town Town
We are thrilled to share the phenomenal success of this year’s Interhouse Performing Arts Festival, an event that continues to soar. What began as a vibrant celebration of creativity has evolved into a major highlight of our school calendar, showcasing the boundless talent, energy and spirit of our students like never before. The 2025 festival was a blend of House improvisation, House choreography and inspiring work from curricular dance classes.
Drama Improvisation
This section was a whirlwind of quick-thinking, clever comedy and theatrical flair. Each House brought their A-game with fast-paced, imaginative scene work that left the audience in awe. The improvisation games included Switch, Furniture, Genres etc which tested spontaneity and teamwork and our students more than rose to the challenge. It was a close competition with the level of talent on display.
Dance Choreography
The Interhouse dance competition reached new heights this year, with each house delivering emotionally rich, stylistically distinct and technically impressive routines. From storytelling elements to high-energy group formations, the dancers wowed the audience with their passion, strength and unity. The choreography reflected each House’s unique identity and the atmosphere was one again electric.
Curricular Dance Performances:
Our dance students again shone brightly, performing works they’ve refined over the year with discipline and heart. These class pieces added depth to the evening and were a testament to the ongoing growth and maturity of our dance program. This year the Middle Dance Company Made their debut with Year 12 APEx Dance student Sophia Smith leading the group. We also included Year 7 Dance class footage of their group assessments highlighting the range of talent across all year groups.
Watch It Again
A huge thank you to the Head of Library, Technologies and Research Services, Mr Alex Hanssen, who captured the event on film. We are in the process of editing the film and you will receive the link in the coming weeks.
Full House
It was also wonderful for our sold-out audience to mingle during intermission.
