Mathematics Report 

The annual Australian Mathematics Competition was held during August and we are nearly back to pre-pandemic levels.  We had 234 students enter this year with some fantastic results.  Firstly, congratulations to Christopher Tran (Year 12) who earned a Prize and Best in School Award with his perfect score.  Well done Christopher!

Also Congratulations to the following students who received a High Distinction.

There were 82 students who achieved Distinctions and another 103 students who achieved a Credit.

University of Melbourne School Maths Competition

Thanks and congratulations to the 41 Uni High participants in this year’s event.  Congratulations to Christopher Tran (Year 12) who was awarded third place in the Senior Division.  And to Riley Dexter (Year 11) who was awarded a certificate of Merit also in the Senior Division.

School Maths Olympiad @ UoM Open Day

The School Mathematical Olympiad, run annually by the University of Melbourne, was held last month. Christopher Tran, Daniel Wang, Connor Barbetti, Mason Johns, and Jayden Phommahaxay (all of Year 12) entered this event representing Uni High and were awarded second place.  As a result, this team was then invited to represent Uni High at the University Mathematical Olympiad, which was held on the evening of September 06.  Despite competing against university students, the team won!  A fantastic result!
