Science Innovation Expo

Thirty Year 9 students visited the ‘Collaborate to Innovate’ expo at the Science Gallery on Thursday, 17 August. At the expo, the students saw various innovations from all of the University of Melbourne's Science Faculties. They also had the opportunity to visit the Dark Matter exhibition on the second floor of the Science Gallery.

Prior to the expo, the students visited the Exciton Science Centre, where they saw advanced laboratories that focus on sustainable energy research. The students also watched a demonstration of how light can be utilised to initiate a chemical reaction that splits water into oxygen and hydrogen, which can be used to power a sustainable car.
