50 Year 8 students participated in the Dark Matter Excursion at GTAC on Friday, 11 August. The Dark Matter program explored the fundamental essence of life and the universe and how so much of it remains a mystery to us.

The program consisted of two workshops:

Dark Gut Illumination

In this workshop, students used innovative, cutting-edge technology to illuminate the “Dark Gut”, furthering our understanding of the gut microbiome and how our health is closely related to it.

Escape Room Game

In this workshop, students were presented with a series of scientific puzzles which they had to solve using a combination of research-grade scientific equipment, logic, and critical thinking.
