SSV Coburg District Interschool Sport Results

Round 2 – Coburg v St Fidelis

Our St Fidelis teams showed great determination and sportsmanship in Round 2 against Coburg. The Boys/Mixed Soccer Team battled hard in a closely fought contest, earning a well-deserved draw.

The Netball Teams competed strongly throughout the day, demonstrating great persistence against tough opposition.

In Football, the Boys/Mixed Team put together a spirited performance before Coburg edged ahead in the final quarter to claim a narrow victory.

A special congratulations to the girls in the St Fidelis Girls Football Team, many of whom were playing their very first AFL 9s match. The team displayed courage, enthusiasm and resilience against a far more experienced opposition, and should be extremely proud of their efforts.

Round 3 – St Oliver’s v St Fidelis

Congratulations to all of our Netball, Football and Soccer teams on another fantastic round of competition last week against St Oliver’s.

There were some excellent results across the day, including impressive wins by both AFL 9s teams and the Boys/Mixed Netball Team. Our Girls Soccer Team fought hard to secure a draw, while the Girls Netball Team continued to show great effort and determination in a competitive match.

Once again, all students represented St Fidelis with pride through their positive attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship.

SSV COBURG DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026

The Annual SSV Coburg District Cross Country Championships was postponed due to poor weather c conditions. 

It will be held now on Thursday 28 May 2026 at Jackson Reserve, Coburg (Coburg Athletics Track) 

Events will be conducted for boys and girls in the 10, 11 and 12/13 year age groups. 

The 10 year old boys and girls run 2km. Students turning 9 this year can compete in the 10 year age group. Students younger than this cannot compete. 

The 11 and 12/13 year old boys and girls run 3km. 

Each event commences at the track, continues into nearby parkland and concludes back at the track.

Each school can nominate up to 7 competitors for each event.
