MGC Book Club

This semester, Book Club has been full of creativity, discussion, and plenty of popcorn! One of our biggest highlights was our lively debate on the ultimate question: which is better - movies or books? Members shared strong opinions and thoughtful arguments from both sides.

We also explored storytelling in exciting new ways through a “Choose Your Own Adventure” activity, where we collaborated as a group to create our very own branching story. Another favourite activity was a retro-style text-based adventure game, which challenged members to work together, solve problems, and make story decisions along the way.

Both our Junior and Senior Book Clubs have been fantastic spaces to share ideas, laugh together, and celebrate our love of stories!

Looking ahead to Term 3, we are excited for Book Week, running from 22–28 August, with this year’s theme: Symphonies of Stories. We already have exciting plans in the works, with more to come soon!

Junior Book Club runs every Wednesday at Lunchtime in room 103. Senior Book Club takes place several times a term - see Beth in the library for more details.
