🌈 JSC in Action!

Our Junior School Council (JSC) has been busy this term, finding ways to bring our school community together, listen to student ideas and make a difference at DPS!

🧦 Fun Sock Friday

To celebrate International Friendship Day earlier in the term, the JSC organised Fun Sock Friday, inviting everyone to wear their favourite pair of socks. It was wonderful to see students and staff showing off a little bit of their personality and enjoying something small together.

🎨 Our First Colour Run!

The JSC have also launched the school’s first-ever Colour Run! This is an event that was requested by our students, and we are very excited to run it for them. As part of the event, we are raising money for the school, with funds going towards providing more shaded areas around the school—another idea that came directly from our students.

So far, our amazing community has raised over $13,000, which is just incredible! Thank you to everyone who has contributed.

Along the way, we have had some exciting incentives to encourage everyone to get involved:

 Week 1: Well done to 1M and 5O, who earned an icy pole party for creating the most fundraising profiles!

 Week 2: We held a raffle, with Moses Kwong from Level 5 taking out first prize—a brand-new scooter!

Coming up: At the end of the week, we will find out who the lucky student will be who gets the chance to slime Mr Ryan when we reach our fundraising target of $20,000!

Keep your eyes and ears open for more exciting things happening in Term 4 as we count down to the big day on Monday 26 October. We can't wait!
