Level Four

CAMP RUMBUG -  An Adventure to Remember!

What an incredible time we had at Camp Rumbug! Our Level 4 students embraced every challenge, adventure and new experience with enthusiasm and excitement. Throughout camp, students showed great courage, bravery and determination as they stepped outside their comfort zones and challenged themselves to try new things.

From getting covered in mud during the Mud Run to working together to build and test rafts, there was never a dull moment! Students also had the opportunity to test their skills and bravery through archery, tree climbing, the team challenge, giant swing and aeroball. Each activity provided students with an opportunity to challenge themselves, support their classmates and discover what they were capable of achieving.

One of the highlights of camp was seeing students encourage and cheer each other on. Whether they were nervous about trying an activity, tackling a difficult challenge or simply having a go at something for the first time, students demonstrated persistence, teamwork and a willingness to have a go.

Of course, camp wouldn't be complete without some delicious food! Students enjoyed chicken burgers and sausage rolls for lunch, followed by tasty pasta bolognese, carbonara and tacos for dinner. There were certainly plenty of happy and well-fed campers!

Most importantly, students created wonderful memories with their friends and teachers. They laughed, challenged themselves, tried new experiences and supported one another throughout the adventure.

My favourite activity was the giant swing because we got to go really high and came down really fast. I also enjoyed trying hashbrowns for breakfast for the first time with my friends.

At camp Rumbug, we had lots of fun.  It was such an enjoyable experience. The food was amazing and all the activities were super fun. The Giant Swing was my personal favourite it was so fun. Camp Rumbug was the best excursion I have had and I can’t wait for our next camp.

It was magnificent at Camp Rumbug, most students enjoyed the activities and how the food was cooked. There wasn’t much sleep happening, I felt bad for the teachers as they came to our room at 1 am …. I loved the food we had chicken burgers, tacos, ice-cream and much more. The Giant swing was one of the best activities, we soared like a bird and we met fellow kangaroos. Overall level 4 camp was one of the best things I have done at DPS.

At Camp Rumbug, all 8 activities were fun and memorable. The cabins were nice and clean and comfortable to sleep in. The food was also really yummy. You could help yourself choosing what you wanted. We were surrounded by nature and I loved the environment. Camp Rumbug is certainly a must try place to go where you can become brave and make new friends. I loved camp Rumbug.

We have had a jam-packed Term 3 in Level 4 and are so proud of everything our students have achieved. We are looking forward to an exciting and action-packed Term 4!
