Hands on Learning Report

"We have only had one Hands on Learning thus far this term. We have been working on planters for the Year 7 Garden space. Teamwork is a big part of Hands on Learning because we can get stuff done faster. We have pallets to pull apart with a special tool called a pallet breaker. We also used our math skills in measuring centimeters to millimeters. Sawing 1000mm planks for planters. This term Hands on Learning has begun full days. It is exciting because I and everyone else get to spend more time with ‘crazy Kara’ and ‘relaxed Robbo’ (our artisan teachers). Next week we are having 2 Hands on learning days. Tuesday we will link up with Mount Clear College to plant trees at Soapies Dam with Friends of the Canadian Creek. We will be inviting teachers and staff to our lunches this term, so teachers be nice to Hands on Learning students for a feed. Hands on Learning is good for me because it teaches me good teamwork, listening, respect and to try, try again"
