This term we have seen Year 7's begin their French exploration at Woodmans Hill Secondary College. Year 9's and 10's explore subject opportunities for next year, and Year 12's knuckle down for their last stretch in the lead up to exams.
Massive shout out to Josh Levitt and Callum Teal who helped out at our Senior Subject Information Expo, two students who study all 4 of our VCE subjects and were able to describe them with confidence and enthusiasm. I wish the year 10's luck as they make their selections, and I encourage them all to reach out to their teachers, peers and family to get advice to make sure they end up in the right place.
I also wanted to use this opportunity to highlight the work of our VCE Politics students, who over the past few weeks have engaged in the Youth In Politics program, organised through Michaela Settle's office. This culminated last Wednesday with students visiting Parliament house. Here they were able to present to Anthony Carbines, Minister for Police, on their concerns around the Victorian government's response to extremism and the recent protest law reforms. Students were also able to tour Parliament, sit through question time, and briefly meet the Premier Jacinta Allen.
