Hello everyone,
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself in a new capacity – my name is Claire Blower, and I am very excited to be stepping into the role of VCE and VCE:VM Leader alongside my current Year 12 Year Level Leader role. I’m really looking forward to working closely with our senior students and supporting you as we move into the back end of the school year.
Last week, our Year 12 students attended a VTAC presentation, which was a fantastic opportunity to start thinking about future pathways. If you haven’t already, it’s really important that all Year 12 students create a VTAC account so you are ready to enter preferences and stay on top of deadlines as the application process continues. All information from the session has been posted to Compass for you to review and use to support the application process.
I also want to say a big well done to all of the Year 12 and Accelerated Learning Program students who took part in the Professional Learning Day revision competition – it was great to see so many of you engaging in these opportunities and putting in the extra effort.
Looking ahead, a reminder that all Year 12 and ALP students are expected to attend school on the Professional Learning Day in Week 8. This day will be packed with valuable revision activities and a chance to consolidate your learning ahead of VCAA exams. We should all be taking every opportunity to improve!
It is great to see our VCE:VM students working hard and ensuring they remain up-to-date and demonstrate all of their competencies. There have been some awesome projects happening around our school and there are more to come this term and I look forward to seeing the efforts behind the projects come to fruition!
I look forward to supporting our students in a new capacity and learning the ropes of the VCE and VCE:VM Leader role. Please contact me if you need any support with all things VCE and VCE:VM.
