The Little Mermaid Movie Fundraiser!

Before you see it on the big stage, join us under the sea for a special fundraiser screening of the brand new The Little Mermaid (2023) on the big screen. 

This modern re-imagining of the classic Disney animation sees Halle Bailey in her break-out role as the effervescent and curious, Ariel. Joined by Broadway stars like Daveed Diggs as Sebastian and comedic genius, Melissa McCarthy as the menacing Ursula, this live-action spectular is sure to keep you flipping your fins.

For just $20, you can see the film the day after it gets released. Included in the ticket price is a seat in the cinema, a medium drink and medium popcorn. The tip of the tail? You get to support the College Production as well.

Production Auditions

Kicking off 2023 with Wantirna College's The Little Mermaid production coming in August this year! A few weeks back, the audition processes began with open auditions to the whole school. This year we welcomed both new and familiar faces to the production family and are so excited to see what the year has in stall for us all. 

So what are production auditions? 

Production auditions start with opening two categories to audition for: Principle Cast or Ensemble/Dancer. There are also Tech Crew auditions if you don’t like to be on centre stage and like to be on the technology side of things. For the people that want to be on the stage the process has three different auditions; singing, acting, and dancing. The auditions for ensemble members are in small groups, allowing everyone to feel safe and comfortable. 

Throughout the entirety of the week, everyone is super supportive of one another.  Students help each other out with their auditions, the constant dance rehearsals in L1, and students running over their scenes in L2. We are so excited production is back and running this year!! Also don’t forget to buy your tickets for our fundraiser of the new movie casting of the Little Mermaid!
