Cross Country Carnival

The Camden High School X-Country was on Thursday 27th April at the Camden Equestrian Centre. It was a beautiful sunny day and the students showed out in numbers with our biggest turnout in years. Not only did we have the running of the X-County, but OzTag and Ultimate Frisbee tournaments that the students thoroughly enjoyed. Congratulations to all those that participated in the day as well as the following age champions:

Senior Sport

The new Senior Sport rotation begins this Thursday 25th May. Students travelling offsite need to ensure permission notes are returned. 

Sporting Achievements

Taylah Jones was success in being selected in the SSW Hockey Representative competing at NSW CHS on the 6th to the 9th June. 

Jack Lindsell was selected into the SSW Touch Football Team. Jack will compete at NSW CHS on the 20th to 22nd June. 

Georgia Zannino competed at the NSW CHS Swimming Championships earlier this term. Georgia came away with the following placings at the CHS Championships:                  

• 50m Freestyle 4th
• 100m Freestyle 3rd
• 200m Freestyle 3rd
• 400m Freestyle 6th
• 100m Backstroke 4th
• 100m breaststroke 14th

Georgia was presented her Age champion SSW Medal at the championship. Congratulations Georgia!

Congratulations to Will Jenkins for his selection in the 2023 U16s Country representative rugby league team. Will and the Country boys took on City in the annual City vs Country championship on Saturday 6th May at Jubilee Oval. Unfortunately, the country boys went down, but a big congratulations to Will on this incredible achievement. 

The Camden High School Triples Bowls team competed at the SSW Championships. They placed 4th and we have two students who have been selected into the SSW Team to compete at the CHS Bowls Championships. Congratulations to Cooper Kolod and Brandon Beddoes. 

Camden-Cowra Exchange Program

The 52nd Camden-Cowra Exchange is next week from 31st May to 2nd June. This year staff and students will be travelling to Cowra to participate in the 3-day event. We would like to wish the students all the best competing for the Robert Montgomery Shield. Information has gone out to students travelling in regard to organisation, safety equipment and a timetable of events.
