We are thrilled to bring you the latest edition of our school science newsletter, packed with exciting updates and upcoming events. From the natural wonders of the Royal National Park to the mysteries of chemistry and the vastness of our solar system, our students have been exploring the fascinating world of science in various ways. Where we proudly showcase the remarkable achievements of our students in various agricultural competitions and celebrate the fruitful outcomes of our endeavours. Let's dive in!
Our curious Year 7 students recently embarked on an exhilarating journey beyond the Earth's atmosphere. Through an immersive excursion focused on our solar system, they explored the wonders of space and discovered the awe-inspiring celestial objects that surround our home planet.
The Year 9 students recently embarked on an awe-inspiring excursion to the renowned Royal National Park. Nestled just outside the bustling city, this natural oasis offered a unique opportunity for our budding scientists to explore the intricate workings of ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability.
We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of our school's agricultural team at the prestigious Royal Easter Show. Our enthusiastic gardeners made a mark in the pumpkin exhibition, placing 1st and 2nd.
In addition to our successful show season, we are delighted to share news of an exceptional agricultural achievement. Our dedicated agricultural team has managed to cultivate a batch of sweet potatoes that have reached unusually large sizes!
These mammoth tubers have been nurtured with care, utilizing innovative cultivation techniques and optimal growing conditions. Our students dedicated their time and effort to ensure that the sweet potatoes received the right balance of nutrients, water, and sunlight.
