Support Faculty Snapshot
Stage 4
Science students are learning about compounds and chemical changes. We tried to separate one of the elements from the compound sodium hydroxide and discovered we could do this, using aluminium as a reactant. We also discovered if we added water to the sodium hydroxide the reaction was not as fast, but it still worked. Here you can see the hydrogen filling the balloons.
Stage 5
Stage 5 have been busy this term learning new and exciting things. The students have been learning about Rights and Freedoms in History, how to calculate income tax in Financial Mathematics and the discovery of the periodic table in Science. Students also explored the mangroves and woodlands at Bonnie Vale. The Careers class had a visit from Skillsroad and had the opportunity to use virtual reality to explore different career avenues.
