Southern United Hockey Club

The Prep, Year 1 and Year 4’s were very lucky to have a visit from the Southern United Hockey Club. The expert coaches taught the kids some great hockey skills and drill and everyone had a great time.

Thanks to Emily and Olivia from Southern United Hockey.

District Swim Carnival 2021

Yesterday we had 31 students travel to MSAC to compete in our annual Seaside District Competition. It was great to see all 8 schools in our District all come together and compete after all our Lockdowns and cancelling of events. It was also wonderful to have parents allowed to support and encourage their own kids as well as their school.

The team were exceptional this year with enthusiasm, eagerness and of course everyone swam amazingly to earn points for our school. I saw more smiles yesterday then I have seen for a while😊

It was lovely to see the team comradery as they supported each other and enjoyed the atmosphere.

There were many ribbons given to BNPS and we finished 3rd overall just behind both Brighton and Brighton Beach PS.  A fantastic achievement for the team.

Special mention to Charlie Callow (year 4), first in Freestyle, Clementine Conlan (year 5) first in Breast stroke and Backstroke and Tex McMahon(Year 6) first in Butterfly. These 3 swimmers will now progress to the Division Carnival to be held on  Monday 15th March at Oakleigh Pool.

Casper Cullen of Year 6 also swam exceptionally well in our AWD division to finish in 2nd place which was a fantastic achievement for him. Well Done Casper!

Thank you to John Ferguson( Jada and Harper’s Dad) for offering his time to help at poolside with back up timing for all our heats. Much appreciated.

Also a HUGE thanks to both Mr Nick Arnold and Ms Nicole Grant for managing the team in the stands and assisting as always. Amazing!!
