Premier's Reading Challenge

Premier's Reading Challenge Success
The Premier's Reading Challenge is a statewide initiative that encourages students to develop a love of reading by engaging with a wide range of books throughout the school year.
Well done to all our students who have been reading and contributing to our Premier’s Reading Challenge! We have now reached an incredible 21,935 books read and completed. 📚🎉
We are only 8,065 books away from reaching our school goal of 30,000 books read!
Please continue to encourage your children to read regularly and remember to add their completed books to the Premier’s Reading Challenge.
The challenge closes on 4 September 2026. Let's encourage lots of reading across the last few weeks of Term 3 and make this the most successful Premier’s Reading Challenge yet!
Reading Targets
Prep– Year 2 | Read 30 books (20 from the Challenge list and 10 Choice books). Books may be read independently or by an adult. |
|---|---|
| Years 3–6 | Read 15 books independently (10 from the Challenge list and 5 Choice books). |
To celebrate our progress, a special display has been created in the library featuring six reading trees. Each tree represents 5,000 books read, and for every 100 books recorded, a leaf is added.
