As the local club for the Banyule area, we are now able to offer this opportunity to all 2026 Prep students in your school community.

About the League•

 Games are played Friday afternoons in Bulleen, between 4:00pm and 6:30pm• No games on school holidays or long weekends• Autumn Season runs during Terms 1 and 2, Spring Season runs during Terms 3 and 4• Designed specifically for beginners, with adjusted rules and lowered rings• 30-minute games, 5 on 5 format• Coach is on the court supporting players throughout the game• Referees call only major violations, focusing on learning and enjoyment

Team Requirements• 

Minimum of 7 prep students of the same gender• A volunteer coach - coaches are required to have a valid Working with Children's Check• A team manager (18+; this can be the coach) • Optional: one short weekly training session if a space is available

Teams do not need to train; however, many schools have been generous in offering a small space for a short 30-minute training session after school once a week. If your school is able to do this, it would be greatly appreciated but not required.

Costs• $210 player registration for a 6-month season (covers game fees, referees, court hire, and admin) • $90 uniform purchase• $29 Basketball Victoria insurance fee (one-time fee unless already insured through another BV competition)

Registration Deadline

Team registrations close January 23 or earlier if the competition reaches capacity.

First Saturday of the month – 9.00 am – 12.00 noon
