RESILIENCE, RIGHTS & RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS (RRRR)

The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships learning materials have been designed for teachers in primary and secondary schools to develop students’ social, emotional, and positive relationship skills. Efforts to promote social and emotional skills and positive gender norms in children and young people have been shown to improve health-related outcomes and subjective wellbeing. They also reduce antisocial behaviours, including engagement in gender-related violence.

The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) learning materials cover eight topics of Social and Emotional Learning across all levels of primary and secondary education: Emotional Literacy; Personal & Cultural Strengths; Positive Coping; Problem Solving; Stress Management; Help Seeking; Gender Norms & Stereotypes; and Positive Gender Relationships.

Our School is Proud to Be an eSmart School!

We’re excited to share that our school is an eSmart School — a program that helps schools create safe, respectful, and supportive learning environments online and offline.

Being an eSmart School means we are committed to teaching students how to use technology safely and responsibly. Through classroom lessons, discussions, and activities, children learn about cyber safety, digital wellbeing, respectful communication, and how to make positive choices when using the internet and devices.

Families play an important part in helping children become confident and safe digital citizens. Parents and carers can find useful information, tips, and resources to support their child’s online safety on the eSmart website: www.esmart.org.au.

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation offers a range of resources to support Australian families in reducing the risk of exposure to online harm and empower children to navigate the digital world safely.

CALM YOUTH

As we wrap up an incredible few weeks with CALM Youth, we couldn’t be prouder of our students who participated in the program. Their growth, creativity, and enthusiasm have shone through every step of the way!

Over the past five weeks, students and families have explored our CALM pillars — Composure, Ambition, Leadership, and Mentality — through reflective activities, meaningful conversations, and hands-on challenges designed to build connection, confidence, and purpose. We had an extremely successful night on Wednesday, with families presenting their passion project. Together, they presented their joint passion project, a reflection of creativity, teamwork, and calm focus. Through art, research, and shared purpose, the families showed how mindful collaboration can bring learning to life.

A massive thank you to the CALM Youth team who have worked with our school for the last four years!

“A lucky group of students are very thankful for the wonderful opportunity to attend the Calm Youth program over 5 weeks.

Their willingness to learn, share, and open up about their emotions made each session meaningful and inspiring. The skills they have developed to understand their feelings, bounce back from challenges, and support one another was incredibly rewarding. It takes courage to explore emotions and build resilience, and each child showed great strength and growth throughout the program. The students even presented a passion project with their parent/carer in the last session. It was great to see the effort and positivity that everyone put into their project.

Well done everyone, and “Don’t panic! it’s calm!”
