Junior Sport

What an incredible, action-packed year of Sport and Physical Education our Junior School students have enjoyed in 2025!
They participated in a wide range of competitive sports and skill-building activities that fostered teamwork, resilience and personal growth. Our students represented Oxley extremely well—from interschool house competitions right through to state championships and even Team Vic selection.
Across all sports in 2025, Oxley proudly had:
- 110 students represented at District level often in multiple events.
- 56 students represented at Division level.
- 23 students represented at Regional level.
1 student represented at the State Athletics Championships.
We also celebrated outstanding state-level success, with Oxley becoming State Champions in:
- Boys 9/10 50m Breaststroke.
9/10 Mixed Freestyle Relay, who finished first by more than 10 seconds.
Our interschool teams were also District Champions in the following sports:
- Boys Basketball
- Girls Basketball
- Soccer
- Hot Shots Tennis
T-Ball
A huge congratulations to all our students for their remarkable efforts and achievements throughout the year.
2025 House Champion
Across the five major house events—Swimming, Athletics P-2 and 3-6 , Cross Country, and the Basketball Competition—every house secured at least one win, and every house also placed second and third at some point. It was an incredibly close competition all year.
In fact, the winning margin was so tight… we ended up with a tie! A full countback of every point earned across every event was conducted to determine a winner.
And so, with a total of 1881 points, the 2025 House Champion is… Gibeon Warriors—Red House! Followed closely by White and Blue.
Congratulations and well done to every student for contributing to an amazing year of sport at Oxley.
