From the Principal

The past few weeks have provided us with several opportunities to connect at major College events, including the Prep Nativity concert, Year 6 Graduation, Final Assemblies, and the Senior School Presentation Evening. At the final few events, we have celebrated our students’ achievement of completing the 2025 academic school year. Once again, we commend our students on their efforts, striving towards their personal best throughout the year.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to work in partnership with each of the parents, carers, and Homestay parents at Oxley. We value our connection with you and continue to strive to work collaboratively with each family to support the learning and wellbeing of every student. Thank you to the many parents who shared feedback during the recent Parent Survey. This feedback will be reviewed carefully in preparation for the year ahead. We look forward to working closely with Oxley families once again during the new year.

For those families leaving the College for various reasons, we pray that the Lord will watch over you in your future endeavours and continue to bless you. Thank you for being a part of our College community.

I also wish to commend the staff at Oxley Christian College for their efforts. We have a passionate team of staff dedicated to supporting our students to flourish. Our team of staff across the College all contribute significantly to the formation of students at Oxley. I am incredibly grateful for the dedication of our staff and give thanks to God for our amazing team.

We also acknowledge and express gratitude to the staff who are leaving Oxley at the end of the year. They are Tivona Aloysius, Caitlin Bonte, Haley Brandon, Susan de Lange, Teanau Newton, Naomi Perry, Debra Roberts, Pina Sernio, and Adeline Setiadi. Each person has made a valuable contribution to our College community, and we pray God continues to bless them during this new season of their life journey.

May I share a special note of thanks to Debra Roberts (22 years), Caitlin Bonte (15 years), and Susan de Lange (14 years) for their extended service at Oxley. Each of you has made a long-standing impact on our school community, and we are extremely appreciative of your service.

As a College community, we express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Elders and Directors of Life Ministry Centre and College Council under the leadership of Pastor Graham Nelson. Pastor Graham and the Elders continue to support our school to remain Christ-centered and a place where we can dedicate ourselves to the holistic formation of every student.

At Presentation Evening, we were delighted to introduce the new Senior School student leadership team in preparation for 2026. Our new College Captains are Isaac Armstrong and Hayley Graham, who will be well supported by Vice Captains Daniel Leong, Jess Lynch, Hadassah Rickard, and Jonathan Tan during the year ahead. We also look forward to sharing further announcements about our Junior School and Secondary School student leadership appointments early in the new school year.

As we head into the school holidays, I pray we can actively prepare our hearts and minds for Christmas. Let us take time to appreciate once again the gift of God’s son, Jesus. May we receive the joyful news with all our hearts.

And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His father David,  and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Luke 1:30-33

We pray that all staff, students, and families return in 2026 refreshed and ready to work collaboratively to delight in God’s love through inspired learning.

Working together,
