2027 Confirmation Letters for Secondary School

Grade 6 students and families,
On Wednesday your children would have received a letter confirming your child’s successful acceptance into a secondary school for 2027.
You will not have received this letter if you have previously indicated to me that your child is attending a private, independent or catholic school. If these circumstances have changed and you now want your child to attend a public secondary school, you will need to contact me as soon as possible.
If you were expecting to receive a secondary school acceptance letter for a public Secondary school and did not receive it on Wednesday, please feel free to contact me to discuss your child’s placement for 2027.
If your child did not receive their first preference of secondary school, enclosed with your child’s year 7 placement letter you will find a Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Placement Appeal form, as well as further instructions on how to appeal this decision.
To accept your child’s Year 7 placement, offer, you will need to follow the advice in the information that the secondary school will provide to you shortly. Please also complete the Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip that your child bought home today and return it to your child’s Year 6 classroom teacher by Tuesday 11th August 2026.
If you need any further information about your child’s secondary school placement for 2027, please do not hesitate to contact me.
On behalf of all the staff at Craigieburn Primary School, I wish all the year 6 students every success in their transition to secondary school.
Thank you
Melissa Chancellor
