Year 7 2021 French 1st Language Prize Winners

The Year 7 2021 French 1st language class participated in the “Concours Ile Lettrée” organised by the Rectorat of Nouvelle Calédonie – New Caledonia’s Deptartment of Education. Students worked in collaboration with a high school in New Caledonia “Lycée professionnel St Jean XXIII Païta,”

Students had to write a short story/tale “conte” using “dis moi dix mots “words. We decided to write about how birds got their colours - our students wrote about Galahs and Crows and the new Caledonian students wrote about their native bird “Cagou” – Our students then illustrated the New Cal stories by drawing them and audio recording them.

Students won the prize “Coup de Coeur” in the category writing and illustration!! And the students did it all during remote learning!!
