Senior School News

We have finally reached the end of Semester 1. Year 10-12 students have completed their Semester 1 exams. It has been a busy exam period, fitting all exams into a 4 day period for each year level. Hopefully most students feel that they have performed well in their exams and have learnt something to help them with the next exam experience. I encourage all students to discuss their preparation and results with their teachers to help them refine their approach to the exams. It has been a really busy end to the term for VCE students with a number of SACs and also a number of students absent for short periods with illness.

It is also getting closer to the time of the year where students start to look beyond this year. The Year 11 students will be invited to begin their Year 12 subject selection and counselling process.  The Year 10 and 11 students will also begin their course counselling process early next term. Information will be provided to students and families outlining this process in the near future.

We will be having a VCE information evening in the first week next term for parents of Year 10 students. Term 3 will be busy for all Senior School students. The Year 12s will organise their 2023 University and TAFE plans while the Year 10 and 11s will be doing their course counselling and subject selection process during the term.

We would like to wish all students and their families an enjoyable holidays, but also remind students of the importance of completing the work set over the break. In most cases the homework is designed to ensure that students are not going two and a half weeks without thinking about their studies at all. Most of this work is just to keep the information fresh in their minds and will not be excessive in its time commitment.
