Folk Music

In recent weeks students have been learning about beat and rhythm. These pictures show some of our year 4 students putting their knowledge to use, by composing their own compositions

Harmony Day

As we head towards Harmony Day students have been learning about folk music. These photos show Year 3 students researching different folk music from around the world. It was wonderful to see students listen to music connected to their own personal heritage. Lessons such as these help support the children to develop their cultural identity.

Instrumental Music lessons begin today

Thank you to all of those families who have expressed an interest in Keyboard and guitar with Helen Dalton. A rotating program will begin today consisting of 30 minute lessons. We look forward to sharing performance and seeing growth at assemblies through the year and we welcome Helen back to Fatima to enable more of The Arts for our students.
