Sustainability News

Lucy, Elizabeth and Dom are excited about going snorkeling on the Moonraker as part of their role as Dolphin Research Institute ambassadors.

They will learn about dolphins, seals and seahorses and then share their new knowledge with all of the students at assembly.

Phone Recycling

Ruby and Kobie are excited that their donations of phones will help wild gorillas.

Look at how many we collected across the school in just one week!

Phones, Ipads and chargers can be dropped off at the office during March  and will be recycled by a company associated with Zoos Victoria. It is estimated that there are 5,000,000 unused phones in Australia. Keep sending them in please.

We are also collecting plastic drink bottles to be used as insect bodies in construction activities in the art room as well as pine cones and other nuts and  seed pods to make fabulous, environmental, animal sculptures.  All sizes and shapes are welcome as it gives more variety of choice when making bodies, eyes, wings and legs Please collect them in the coming weeks and over the school holidays. I have placed containers outside the art room for these items to be collected in. Please do not send them to the office.

Dash and the preps made their own animals using collage techniques. Dash’s koala is very cute! The students are developing their self organisational and shape manipulation skills.
