Running Club

It has been great to see so many students at Running Club each morning. A special mention goes out to Zeke who has completed 25km! Fantastic work Zeke! 

Running Club is on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:35am - 8:55am. and is open to everyone. Thank you again to the parents who assist in lap counting and organisation on these days.

Division Swimming Carnival

The Southern Peninsula Division Swimming Carnival was held on the 17th of March at the Pines Pool in Frankston. I was able to attend this year as the Phillip District co-ordinator and it was great to see the amazing level of swimming ability on show at this event. 

Our Lady of Fatima had a representative at this event, Madeleine A in the 10 Year Old, 50m Breaststroke. 

Madeleine competed very well and finished in 3rd place. We are all very proud of your efforts Madeleine!

Summer Lightning Premierships

The Phillip District Summer Lightning Premierships will be held on Friday the 26th of March this year at various locations on the Mornington Peninsula.

This year we will be entering two boys and two girls teams in Basketball which will be held at Frankston Basketball Stadium.

 

Our Lady of Fatima will be entering two girls and one boys team in the Volleystar competition which will be held at Eastbourne Primary School.

We will also be entering one Ultimate Frisbee team and one Cricket team with these competitions being held at Olympic Park Reserve, Rosebud. 

Summer LIghtning Premierships involves all of our year 5/6 students. 

 

If you haven’t done so already, please return your Permission Slip to your classroom teacher. Thank you to the parents who have offered to assist as a coach or manage a team. 

We wish all of our teams the very best of luck!

 

District Tennis Competition

The District Tennis Competition was held last Wednesday the 10th of March at the Rosebud Tennis Courts. Our Lady of Fatima had one representative at this event, 

Samuel D from year 6. 

 

Samuel played very well throughout the day. He won all of his group matches and progressed to the Semi-Final where he won 4 games to 0. Samuel unfortunately was just beaten in a very close Grand Final 5-7. Awesome work Samuel, we are all very proud of your efforts. Samuel now progresses to the Southern Peninsula Division finals on April the 29th.
