Student Entry: On Friday 5 May, Lilydale High School’s very own cross country runners went out to Lilydale Lake to compete in the Yarra Division Cross Country.
Lower age groups ran 2.5 kilometers around the lake whilst the higher age groups ran 5km.
Everyone that competed did an amazing job and for some, will be moving to the Eastern Metropolitan Region Cross Country next month.
Regardless of where they placed, everyone that competed did a great job and we look forward to seeing them compete next year.
Yarra Division Cross Country
On a sunny Autumn day at the beginning of May, 60 of our LHS students were invited to compete at the Yarra Division Cross Country event. With only a few students that were known Cross Country competitors outside of the School event, the majority of the team consisted of keen sports people with a competitive spirit, and a high level of aerobic power.
Our most successful students on the day were:
- Nayeli Craig, winning the U13 Girls
- Zoe Clark, winning the U14 Girls
- Hunter Ryan, winning the U15 Boys
- Ky Harris, winning the U20/Open Boys
- Maddie Laven, winning the U20/Open girls
The following students also placed in their events:
- Hector O’Leary, 2nd U13 Boys
- Jye Aitkin, 3rd U13 Boys
- Tahira Craig, 2nd U13 Boys
- Cooper Thomson, 3rd U14 Boys
- Harry Graham, 3rd 15 Boys
