ZOOLOGY CENTRE

School Information Evening

Leading up to the school Information Evening is always a huge event for the Zoology Centre. With enclosures looking their best with clean glass and everything in its place, getting ready for the night starts weeks before!  Our amazing Zookeepers showed great enthusiasm in helping get the centre up to a fantastic looking presentation space.

On Wednesday 26 April, we had Vet Shane Simpson from 'Unusual Pet Vets' visit the centre. Shane put microchips into some of our animals in front of our Animal Studies class and did health checks on our collection. We are pleased to say, all our animals got a clean bill of health.

Finally, the night came with a group of just over 20 students from most year levels, but predominantly, our new Year 7 Zookeepers were spaced around the centre with some of our reptiles.

I watched in awe as our students spoke to parents and prospective students with a passion about the program and the school.  So many parents came up to me to comment on what great ambassadors the students were.

Our Zoology Centre is a safe haven for both animals and students where they all get to develop to their full capacity as both people and animals.

I could not have wished for a more successful night show casing the schools Zoology Centre. Thanks to everyone that were involved in both preparations and hosting the night. Well done you did the school and me proud!
