Bienvenue à Héléna

Welcome to Héléna

The Languages KLA would like to introduce you to Héléna our new French assistant.

Héléna is from Normandy and will be working with us in a number of French classes until the end of the year.

This is Héléna’s first visit to Australia but she is very well-travelled, having visited Mexico, Portugal, Greece, England and Tunisia, as well as spending time living in South Korea.

Héléna will working with us two days a week and at Blackburn High two days a week.

Where Are They Now ?

I was delighted to bump into  Brecon Daniels (Class of 2022) a couple of weeks ago in a local shopping centre, or should I say Private Daniels!

Brecon is working to realise his dream of being a member of our armed forces. He has just completed his basic training and in the coming months will transfer to Queensland where he will be learning to drive tanks as part of the armoured division of the army.

Brecon reflected that last year he had thought that Year 12 was tough but that the army was a whole new level! However, while life in the armed forces is a challenge, Brecon is clearly enjoying it.

Congratulations Brecon on pursuing your passion.
