Instrumental Music

Music is a new subject for Edgars Creek Secondary College in 2022. It has been fantastic to see students learning new skills on our brand new guitars and keyboards! We have also seen a growing interest in our Monday Lunch Time Music Club. Spaces like this provide opportunities for students to make new friends, learn new musical skills and take advantage of the fantastic new resources we have here at Edgars Creek. We even have a guitar ensemble who recently performed at an end of term assembly! 

In addition to all of this, we are proud to offer students the opportunity to enrol in our Co-curricular Instrumental Music Program. Expert tuition is currently offered on the Trombone, Trumpet, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass Guitar, Drum Kit and Piano. Additional Instruments will become available as the program grows. Students will be able to select their desired instrument, and participate in small group instructional lessons. They will come out of class once per week for these lessons and be expected to maintain full engagement in their learning. 

For the foundation year, students will have the opportunity to try the Program free of charge for Term 2, before committing fully in Semester 2. There will be information coming out to families via Compass in Term 2, where you can formally register interest and view all of the terms and conditions.
