Year 7 Report

Middle School

Year 7

We want to say a huge well done to our year seven students for completing their first term of high school. Beginning secondary school is always a challenge and the change can be difficult but we have been incredibly proud of the resilience our students have shown. We want to thank all parents for their ongoing support.

Students have been involved in a range of activities so far this term such as

  • New subjects
  • Whole cohort student-run assemblies
  • Interschool sport
  • International Womens’ Day
  • National Day against Violence and Bullying
  • Harmony Day celebrations
  • Cybersafety presentation with Vic Police

We have been enjoying celebrating the positive behaviour of our students through reward trade in afternoons where students with the most amount of house points and merit cards were able to trade in their points for a reward of their choice after consistently showing our school values. Well done to all of our reward winners! We have also been running a range of lunchtime clubs for students to join such as Library Club, Music Club, Games Club and Art/Textiles Club. It has been great to get to know students and see them develop relationships outside of their homegroups in these groups.

CAMP - Students that have paid and consented for Year 7 Adventure Camp will be heading off on the first day of term 2 which is the 26th of April. Students attending camp will need to arrive at school at 7:30 in their casual, comfortable clothes so we can mark rolls and get students on the bus nice and early. Students will arrive back to school at ….

Any student NOT attending camp will still be required to attend school. They will meet in the LC Community Tiered seating and will be reminded of where to go for the day.

UNIFORM - Just a reminder that term 2 requires all students to wear the winter uniform.  All students will need to wear a tie and blazer and the sports jacket is only to be worn with the sports uniform. The uniform shop is open over the holidays for these items to be purchased.

A huge congratulations to Declan Adams for his achievement in Inline Hockey.

Please see below for more information:

Declan Adams has been selected to represent Australia in the Aussie Roos team for inline hockey in Michigan in July or  August.  He will be competing at what's called the State Wars Championship. Declan will be playing in 2 age groups.
