STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL

LHS SRC 2021

This year we have a great group of students involved in the SRC.

We had an excellent response both from returning members from 2020 and also plenty of new SRC members. All of these students expressed a keen interest in our school community and a willingness to be active contributors in our school.

Several students applied for positions of responsibility within the SRC. These positions included: President, Vice President, Secretary, Environmental Officer, Treasurer and Publicity Officer.

Those students interested in applying for these roles, were required to write and present a speech to the SRC members and I.

They presented themselves confidently and expressed a passion for our school community, our local community, youth issues and other global issues. Every student who applied could have successfully fulfilled any of these roles.

After hearing all of the speeches, the entire SRC team voted and the following students were elected for the official roles.

We have had a few meetings so far to discuss some fantastic initiatives and fundraising events for 2021. We look forward to the fundraisers and awareness days including:

  • IDAHOBIT Day
  • RUOK Day
  • Trackie Dacks Day
  • National Sorry Day
  • Reconciliation Week

And other events to TBA.

The SRC are super excited to be representing the students of Lilydale High School in 2021.
